This week's topic is: Dying Your Hair
Throughout the week I searched through my brain for a blog topic that would address a new issue, and this one just walked right into me, literally. I was on my way to the beautiful Angela Gunter's classroom, minding my own business as I walked down the hallway, and a rampant sophomore ran right into me! As if that wasn't enough her fire engine red (okay, maybe not fire engine red, but close enough) hair whipped into my face. When she and I were untangled I noticed that it was a girl that I had known for about three years! I could not believe my eyes. A girl who had lovely blonde hair with spectacular undertones had turned her hair one mucky red-orange color. Now, this hair color may have (probably not) suited her if done by a professional, but this clearly looked as if she was the guinea pig in her friend's hair-dying-escapade. I asked myself why she would turn such pretty hair such an undesirable color. I wanted nothing more than to ask her such a question, but alas she and I were just acquaintance, and it probably would have bordered on rude. However, I did not want to be rude, I just wanted to inform her of her mistake that she could fix it (thank goodness it was merely hair dye and not 8 inches cut off her long locks), and look she as pretty as she did before. Of course, one would claim that it is not hair color that makes you pretty, but it sure has something to do with it, whether one would like to admit it or not.
Continuing on the topic of hair color and beauty enhancers, I believe that some people should considering getting their hair colored by a professional in order to enhance their look and charm. For example, last night at the Grammy's the very successful Taylor Swift (who looked beautiful in her sparkling blue gown by the way) had her hair color and odd blondish gray color. While down it did not appear so, but when put up, it looked in dire need of some more blonde put in it. I firmly believe that this would have enhanced her look to one that would have been unforgettable, just like her unbelievable 'Album of the Year' win.
Of course Taylor and fire-engine-red are both pretty girls with or without changes in their hair color, but I am just here to ask them What They Were Thinking? in order to state what I believe would make them even more pretty than they are now, after-all, that is my point in all of this, not to be rude or seem as if I know everything there is to know about fashion, because that, I will admit, I do not.
In case you are just another girl interested in fashion E! will be hosting a special Fashion Police tonight in honor of the Grammy's at 10/9c, I know I'll be watching.
